Emily Lau the creator of Fancypop has a jewelry collection that is simple, fun, and quirky. Made from a wide range of materials, such as resin, air dry clay, acrylic paint, beads — just to name a few. Immigrating from Hong Kong to Canada at a young age, she was fortunate to have had the opportunity to study and work abroad in Japan. A large part of her inspirations come from the years she spent there, immersing herself into the culture and falling in love with the artistic style of the Japanese. Making jewelry started out as a hobby when she was in high school. After she left Japan to return to Canada, she decided to pursue her hobby full-time, bringing her influences from Japan and integrating them into her jewelry designs.
